WHY I REBUILT THE RE MASTER CLASSES
Teaching regulatory exam classes has always brought me great joy. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a difficult concept finally make sense to a learner.
Although my learners achieved good results, I wanted to understand why some continued to struggle. I realised that repeating the same info is not enough. Learners need difficult concepts explained in different ways, in the correct context and in a carefully structured sequence.
When health challenges forced me to step away from presenting classes, I used the opportunity to rethink the entire learning journey.
I combined everything my learners had taught me with everything I had learned during 15 years in the classroom to rebuild the RE Master Classes.
Each online class includes my explanations, a complete class script, infographics, diagrams, learning aids and Topic Quizzes. Revision Notes and Revision Infographics then condense the examinable info before you complete the Revision Exams and Readiness Exams.
The entire journey is mapped out for you, so you always know what to learn next, what to revise and when you are ready to write your regulatory exam.

PURPOSE OF THE REVISION NOTES
The Revision Notes form part of the RE Study Hub Preparation Program and are not intended as standalone study material. The online Master Class develops the understanding and application skills required for the regulatory exam through explanations, examples and more than 500 practice questions.
HOW TO USE THE REVISION NOTES
The section you must revise each day is built into the relevant lesson. You may follow it using your printed Revision Notes or read it directly from the screen. Briefly review the previous lesson’s notes before continuing. After completing the Master Class, revise all the notes again and then complete the Readiness Exam.
📢 ATTENTION: REVISION NOTES ALONE WILL NOT PASS YOU
You cannot prepare adequately for the regulatory exam using the Revision Notes alone. They contain the legal stipulations but do not include the interpretation, explanations and application skills taught in the online Master Class.
WHO IS ANNA BOUHAIL?
I’m Anna Bouhail, an experienced educator with more than 25 years’ experience in statutory exams, competency exams and the development of educational and competency-assessment material.
Early in my career, I worked at SAIFM, the exam body for the JSE. This is where I gained much of my knowledge and experience in the development and administration of competency exams. During my time at SAIFM, I was also involved in the development of the RE programme.
After leaving SAIFM, I began presenting RE training for another training company due to the demand for results. I was stationed mainly at large companies to offer the training. However, as results improved, individual learners began approaching me for help. This eventually led to the establishment of my own successful RE training business.
For more than 15 years, I taught learners how to prepare for the regulatory exams. I became known for rewriting and improving learning material based on the difficulties I observed in my classes. Whenever I saw learners struggling with a concept, I looked for a clearer and more effective way to teach it.
My learners have always been at the heart of what I do. I am deeply passionate about helping them understand the work and pass their regulatory exams. It was extremely painful for me to see learners continue struggling despite the time, effort and support we invested. I knew that simply adding more material or presenting more classes would not solve the problem. The entire learning process needed to change.
Unfortunately, I became seriously ill and was incapacitated for almost a year. During my recovery, I reflected on everything I had learnt throughout my career and recognised an opportunity to rebuild RE preparation properly.
I have now combined more than 25 years of experience in competency-based education with more than 15 years of RE teaching experience to completely rewrite and redesign the RE Masterclass.
The new RE Masterclass does more than explain the legislation. It focuses strongly on developing the skills you need to interpret questions, apply your knowledge and select the correct answer in the regulatory exam.

WHAT ARE THE RE1 & RE5 EXAMS
The RE1 and RE5 regulatory exams are compulsory for many people who want to work in South Africa’s financial services industry. Unfortunately, many capable people – especially young people – struggle to enter the industry because the exams are difficult and traditional preparation can be expensive.
I have used my 15 years of RE training experience to redesign the preparation process into a structured, affordable online program suitable for learners at every level. It can be completed in approximately 15 hours and has a very high success rate.
